You like to write and you have things like that. You've decided to start a blog! But if you’re something like that, I would have stayed a few months ago and didn’t know anything about starting a blog, so wait a minute. Many new bloggers get discouraged and give up because they haven't laid the groundwork before starting a blog and don't know what to expect. Since I don't want this to happen to you, here are some things you should know before starting a blog. Of course you will read to the end, so let's get started
1. Blogging requires a lot of effort and hard work
Don’t be fooled into thinking for a moment it’s as easy as seeing. You need to devote time and energy to writing, rewriting, editing, researching, illustrating, etc., and when published, you also need to spend time promoting your blog on various networks. Be prepared to work hard. Also be prepared not to get too tropic in the beginning.
2. This is not the easiest way to make money
We all read about bloggers who make a lot of money online through their blogs. Just know that it takes years of work and patience to get to this point. If you want to start earning fast, there are ways to start a blog faster.
3. You can start blogging with free and small blogs
If you're starting a blog for the first time, you're not sure how things will work out. You may like it or you may decide after a few weeks or months that blogging is not really your thing. So my advice is to start small with a free site. Both WordPress and Blogger are great platforms where you can start blogging with an account. Set it if you want to continue. So plan for self-hosting and paying
4. Write necessary and interesting content
Your tropics will come to you for your writing not that you have a killer blog theme or the name of a funny blog. The best way to create a tropic is to put written and interesting content and do it consistently. Interesting content is shared and gradually expands your reach
5. Blogging means creating social networking
As a blogger you need to have conversations and connections with other bloggers inside and outside of you. This is a surefire way to expand your network and reach a wider audience. Bloggers build a perfect community and regularly support each other through guest posts, social shares, etc.
6. You have to learn new things
If you are not already into any technical field, there is a possibility that you will have to acquire many new skills as soon as you become serious about blogging. Every blogger needs to understand SEO and analytics, and courtesy Google to monitor the changes it makes. The good news is that there are plenty of resources out there that provide tips and guidance.
7. Blogging should be taken as your entertainment
The most important thing to remember when you start your blog is to be original and develop your own style and voice to your readers and not be afraid to tell them what you are feeling. Write about what you like and enjoy yourself. I know I said blogging is hard work but it's a kind of hard work that can be fun too.
I hope you find these thoughts useful as you set about starting your own blog. Stay tuned until I will discuss in more detail in my next posts.
