How to install Ngrok in Termux and forward your port over internet

Today in this article, I will show you how to install Ngrok. You can setup Ngrok in your smartphone. Actually I will show you how to setup Ngrok in Termux. After setup Termux you can forward your port over internet. That means anyone can access your hosted webpage over internet.. This is a very useful method of port forwarding. So, please read full article and follow the sets carefully. If you have any confusion after read this article, please comment below.

Before start you have to know this two things. So, Don't avoid it.

What is Ngrok?

Ngrok creates a secure tunnel on your local machine along with a public URL. you can use for browsing your local site. When ngrok is running, it listens on the same port that you're local web server is running on and proxies external requests to your local machine.

What is Port Forwarding?

Port Forwarding, also known as port mapping, is the process of diverting traffic, which was previously bound due to certain combinations of ports.

You need these things to do this work correctly. So, first of all complete this step.

Requirement:

1. Termux - Download from play store

2. Ngrok - Ngrok

Now, follow below these steps carefully.

Installation Process -

1. At first, open your web browser and go to Ngrok website. Then, sign in to your account. If you don't have any account on Ngrok simply sign up there.

2. After successfully sign up your account, you will see download Ngrok page.

3. Now, to download your desired file - 

 Click the button Download for linux (ARM)

This is a zip file. Download it.

4. After downloaded Ngrok zip file exit your web browser. Then, open Termux app. Before run it you have to copy Ngrok file in Termux home directory. To do this things type this command -

cp /sdcard/download/ngrok-stable-linux-arm.zip $HOME

Now type ls and check Ngrok successfully copy or not.

5. Now, extract this ngrok-stable-linux-arm.zip file. Type this command - 

unzip ngrok-stable-linux-arm.zip

After successfully unzipped this file, type ls and you will see a new ngrok file created

6. Ok. Now, you have to connect your account with this ngrok file. To do this, go again Ngrok download page and you will found a authtoken with a command line. Copy this line and peste it on Termux and hit enter. 

It will look like that -

./ngrok authtoken 1j81S2IYu9yt66fdeu98tgy8ugt5gt66tgrrt

It will add your authtoken to the default ngrok.yml configuration file. This will grant you access to more features and longer session times.

7. Now, finally run Ngrok type this kind of command. 

./ngrok http [port*]

*Port = which is that port you want forward over internet. Such as- 80,8080,4444,5656 etc.

Before you enter this command, first you have to turn on your mobile Hotspot. Otherwise Ngrok not work.

8. Now, doing all of these things correctly you will see a online page and you also find your forward public URL. 

Now you can successfully forward your port over internet.
